Alicia, Villa Semeli
Thank you so much Nika for the most amazing week in Paxos. We were looking for a relaxing week away as a couple and so the villa Semeli was just perfect. Everything was lovely and new, really clean and all the appliances worked wonderfully. The villa is really private but not isolated which was the ideal balance. The bed was also incredibly comfortable. The pool was really clean and pretty and we felt very lucky to have a private pool. But - the winning feature - the view!!! It was honestly breath-taking.

Paxos Festivals
The inhabitants of Paxos are warm and extremely hospitable people who possess a love for tradition yet embrace all developments of contemporary Europe. As a result the islands had been declared Cultural Village of Europe for the year 2004, an institution which aims to make know and preserve village life across Europe.
On July 20th, the festival of Prophet Elias takes place in Lakka where you can see traditional Greek dancing.
Beaches
Harami and Kanoni
Where: Lakka Bay, north coast.
Description: Harami and Kanoni's shallow turquoise waters make them a favourite with families with young children, while the presence of a small tavern means spending a full day at the beach is eminently possible. The views and colours of the bay are enchanting.
Access: by boat or a short walk along a tree-shaded footpath from Lakka.
Myth & History
MYTHOLOGY
According to mythology the islands of Paxos were created when the god of the sea, Poseidon, hit the island of Corfu with his trident breaking off its southern tip in order to form Paxos, where he could keep his lover Amphitrite. However,in the process he lost his trident which was found by the islanders who made it into their island emblem.

Just back from a week of heaven at Villa Semeli. The villa is new and was really comfortable with all the extras you could want. The swimming pool and terrace was a dream and the views from the villa are breathtaking. We loved our stay here and hope to go back. It is perfect for a couple to relax in.
